July 6th-Who Owns the Internet

Toronto Mesh program series. A series dedicated to participants learning how the internet works and how to reclaim it. Participants will learn about the technical architecture and power dynamics of what we call the Internet. A team from Toronto Mesh will discuss issues around long-standing digital inequities and practices of data exploitation by Internet companies. Toronto Mesh will explore alternative practices and invite you to re-imagine and co-create community networks in our Toronto neighbourhoods.

This program requires no technical background from the audience.
