Introduction to Python | Toronto Public Library

Python is an open source programming language that is used for creating web applications, web content, mathematics and system scripting. In this online course you will learn how python code works and given time to practice. Prior coding knowledge is not necessary for this introductory class. Key takeaways will include a working knowledge of variables, loops, conditional arguments and much more.

This class is for beginners but assumes you have a basic understanding of computer skills -- basically, if you can use a word processor or surf the web, you can learn Python!

Prior to the class, participants will need to download and install Python onto their personal computers. This workshop will take place online using Crowdcast, a free web-based video conferencing application.

Space is limited and class information will be provided after registration. Register through Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.ca/o/dih-online-30146452258
